Crescent Shell's Classical Gas
Take a step back in time when the more important things were Sock Hops, Cool Cars, the local Soda Fountain and Cruzn'. Close your eyes and remember traveling around your home town or traveling to far away places to visit relatives. There it is! Can you see it? Over there on the side of the road. Its a strange place. Two or three people are moving around a car. One is washing the windows, another is filling up the car with a liquid called high test from the strangest contraption you've ever seen, while another person is looking under the hood of the car and you could always get a free map. Do you remember?
We invite you to stroll, or rather, scroll through the past with us and take a look at Old Gas Stations as illustrated by Mark Hickey. Mr. Hickey has given us permission to display his sketches of Old Gas Stations. Thank you Mr. Hickey! for taking us back to the days of cheap gas, 5 cent colas and a dream that brought us to the 21st century.
